The founder of the MUST Seminars in 1987, Deb has presented this program to over 38,000 women and senior adults in a 3-state area. The seminars have also been utilized by large companies as an exclusive self-defense class for their employees.

In 1985, Deborah Brown began to see a great need for a logical, low impact, highly motivational self-defense seminar that was designed specially for women to encourage them to do three things: 1) give themselves permission to defend their lives as passionately as they would defend the lives of their family, 2) empower women with the tools - mentally and physically - to better take care of themselves, and 3) help design a plan that every woman could take and use as a "building block" to build a more confident and self-assured person from within.

The MUST Seminars are designed to do just that! Without the aid of weapons, mace, or other tools that some "self-defense" instructors like to sell to women, Deborah will help you look at your body and give you instruction on how your own body can be used as a self-defense tool to aid in getting away from an attacker - whether it be a stranger or someone you know.

Deborah also had an opportunity to actually visit with men who were serving time in jail for violent crimes against women. During the MUST Seminar, she will reveal to women exactly what those men told her they look for in a woman who would become their victims!

Also included in the MUST Seminars are:
  • imaginary trips to the mall and other stores - discussing safe parking plans
  • how to use your keys as a weapon
  • how to carry your purse so it doesn't become a target
  • shopping with children and/or infants
  • safety when walking in parking lots
  • plus much more!
